Services

Garden design, installation, and the long-term care that holds it together.

We work primarily with homeowners on properties between a quarter-acre and five acres in the Austin Hill Country. Most projects fall into one of four service tracks — though we frequently combine them.

Native Texas garden design with limestone path

Landscape design

A complete master plan for your property — planting, hardscape, drainage, lighting, and irrigation drawn to scale, with a phased budget so you can build over one year or five.

  • Site analysis (soil, drainage, sun, microclimate)
  • Concept board with mood imagery and material samples
  • Scale drawings (plan view, key elevations, planting plan)
  • Itemized plant schedule and cost estimate
  • Two rounds of revisions included

Typical investment: $4,800–$14,000, depending on lot size and complexity. Most West Lake Hills residential projects fall in the $6–9k range.

Limestone patio with built-in fire pit

Hardscape & outdoor living

Patios, paths, low retaining walls, fire features, and outdoor kitchens, built from materials that read as native to the land — primarily Texas limestone, decomposed granite, board-formed concrete, and locally milled cedar.

  • Lueders, cordova cream, and oklahoma flagstone patios
  • Dry-stacked and mortared limestone retaining walls
  • Wood-burning and gas fire pits, outdoor fireplaces
  • Pergolas and shade structures (cedar, steel, mixed)
  • Outdoor cooking islands with stone counters

Typical project range: $18,000 (small flagstone patio) to $140,000+ (full outdoor living suite).

Drip irrigation in a native plant bed

Smart irrigation & rainwater

We install efficient drip systems that water roots, not air, controlled by Wi-Fi-enabled controllers that read local weather and skip cycles when they don't make sense. For larger sites, we integrate above- and below-ground rainwater harvesting cisterns.

  • Drip and micro-spray zones, sized per planting community
  • Rachio and Hunter Hydrawise smart controllers
  • Rain sensors and flow meters
  • Rainwater harvesting (500–10,000 gallon systems)
  • Greywater pre-plumbing where building permits allow

Most retrofits cut outdoor water use by 40–65% in the first full year.

Mature established native garden

Stewardship & seasonal care

We offer a small, capped roster of stewardship contracts for clients whose gardens we have designed. Two visits per season (eight per year), focused on editing rather than mowing — pruning natives correctly, dividing perennials, refreshing mulch, monitoring irrigation.

  • February cutback & soil refresh
  • April establishment check & spring edit
  • June irrigation audit & mulch top-up
  • October fall edit, division, and overseeding

Annual stewardship contracts begin at $2,400 for properties under half an acre.

Not sure which service fits?

Most clients begin with a single one-hour on-site consultation. We'll walk the property together, talk about what's working and what isn't, and you'll leave with a clear written recommendation — no obligation to hire us afterward.
